Since 2015, the Center for Engineering Research in Construction has been engaged in design development, scientific research and expert activities in the field of restoration, archeology and adaptation of cultural heritage sites and their territories for modern use.
Our mission: design support for the process of implementing modern urban development solutions in areas of high historical and cultural significance in terms of the harmonious coexistence of a historically valuable city-forming environment and restrained and practical social urbanization.
We believe that historical and architectural heritage can be harmoniously and profitably integrated into the appearance of a modern metropolis without losing its characteristic individuality.
Our priority: unconditional preservation of cultural heritage sites in the historical environment in the process of any economic development. We base our practical development methodology on the international and, first of all, European experience of our colleagues in the UNESCO line.
In order to preserve objects that have the characteristics of a cultural heritage site (archaeological artifacts and elements of the cultural layer), we carry out all types of rescue archaeological activities in areas subject to development with mandatory office processing and delivery of preserved elements (collections of finds) to the museum fund.
In order to preserve nearby monuments during the implementation of construction projects, we develop specialized measures for their preservation with the calculation of risks and threats by using three-dimensional modeling programs for forecasts of possible negative consequences.
As part of the development of restoration projects and adaptation of monuments and their territories to modern use, we widely apply in practice elements of modern high-tech techniques such as: laser scanning of facades, photogrammetry, petrography, laboratory studies of samples of coatings and structures.
The company has a License of the Ministry of Culture to carry out work on the preservation of cultural heritage sites (No. 05055 in the register).
Among the significant implemented projects, we have the honor to mention restoration and scientific work at the sites: «The State Hermitage», «St. Isaac’s Cathedral», «New Holland», «Solovetsky Archipelago».
In 2020, a trade representative office of the company «Center for Engineering Research in Construction» was opened in Bulgaria (BULSTAT No. 177467875).
The representative office has an office and its own lecture hall.
The area of our company’s activities is particularly in demand in the process of urbanization and urban development of historical and cultural enclaves of unique historical cities of the European Union, the circle of potential customers in Europe is wider than in Russia, and the projects being implemented are professionally more interesting.
